City Base Lead - Berlin (f/m/d)

Your mission

You are responsible for the day-to-day running of our largest city base in Berlin-Mitte. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Lead a local team of city base shift managers, riders, and warehouse associates through fostering personal development, instruction, daily supervision, active and transparent communication, regular one-on-one meetings, and providing support of all kinds.

  • Be the first point of contact for operational questions of your city base.

  • Communicate with various stakeholders, including shift managers, suppliers, landlords, recipients, neighbours.

  • Monitor and steer daily processes (i.e. receiving of supplier deliveries, putaway, picking, packing, delivery, returns) and improve them continuously.

  • Be accountable for city base performance and achieving operational KPIs.

  • Solve unexpected problems independently.

  • Pick & deliver orders.

  • Help define best-in-class warehouse layouts, processes, systems and management practices together with the operations team.

  1. Achieve excellent operations and be willing to go the extra-mile for it.

  2. Grow the city base’s order processing capacity to 2,000 orders a week by scaling up resources and continuously improving productivity.

  3. Create and sustain a healthy work environment where people are happy and can grow personally (below-average staff turnover, high staff satisfaction).

  4. Achieve 99%+ order accuracy (delivered on time; all items correctly picked) and inventory accuracy.

Your profile
  • You have gained 3 to 5 years leadership experience in logistics or retail before.

  • You are a strong communicator - both verbally and in writing.

  • You have strong operations management skills.

  • Preferably you have experience in working with digital tools like warehouse management software and google workspace.

  • You are hands-on, results-driven, and have an eye for details.

  • You speak English fluently; German is a huge plus.
